David was an employee of The Bank of Bermuda Limited/ HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited from 1974 to 2010, where, latterly he was Director of the Office on Philanthropy. He is a former Director of Bermuda's Centre on Philanthropy, former President of the International Charitable Fund of Bermuda, Inc, (a U.S. 501 (c)(3) organisation), and founding Chairman of the Bermuda National Standards Committee.
He is past Chairman of Bermuda's Donor Forum. He is past Chairman of the Summer Haven Trust:- an independent living facility for Bermuda's physically challenged. A Governor of the Cap-A-Laige Trust and Director of Cap-A-Laige Limited. He is a Founding Trustee of The Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust, now the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Foundation.
David is married to Pat and they have two children; Alastair and Katie.
