Andrew Gibbs (Andy)

An independent, non-executive director and Chair of the Risk Committee of the leading Loyd’s of London Managing Agency. Formerly an experienced executive officer who held several senior positions in both the private and public sectors of the insurance industry. A former audit partner with E&Y and previously the Director, Supervision (Insurance) at the Bermuda Monetary Authority. In addition has held CFO and COO posts in operating segments at a number of insurance SEC registrants, as well as senior group roles in the financial reporting and control and compliance functions of those organizations.
Graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Essex in England and is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Insurer (Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and holding an Advanced Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute). Holds a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors and has chaired the Boards of Directors of a number of licensed insurers in the groups in which he has served.
